Yes, I realize my title is straight from High School Musical. I don't know which movie, but it is part of the soundtrack of my life right now and I love that!
My birthday is close. As a gift to myself I'm composing the first blog entry of my existence! I cannot count the times I've vowed, "I'll write that down!" or lamented "If only I could remember!" Hopefully the ease and fun of this format will motivate me to write and record like never before! We'll see. I've never been great at consistency or discipline. But I try.
Yesterday Abe (5) took Todd (14) to preschool for "brag bag" (aka show and tell). It was such a heartwarming moment for me and both boys loved it! Abe could hardly lift up his head and made no eye contact with his audience as he shared that Todd plays basketball and can do a front flip on the trampoline. He was shy but proud! One boy quipped " I don't have a big brother like that, but I have a big dad!" Todd is a huge 14! Our man child. Abe chose not to mention the discovery he and Todd made earlier in the morning. This being that they currently wear the same shoe size...toddler and adult size 13. All in all, it was a fine day for the brothers and their mom.
note to self: This is a wondrous season of your life, HSM and all. Treasure your sons during this stage!
